Fahnestock State Park, NY

Well, I had hoped that a full week off the trail would leave me brimming with energy, but that does not seem to be happening. Yesterday was relatively short at 22 miles, but I felt surprisingly sluggish and sore. I had some company at the shelter last night, which is always a nice surprise. Today was a longer day, at almost 30 miles, and I was really struggling in the last few miles. I climbed Bear Mountain early in the day, which had beautiful views of the NYC skyline 35 miles to the east. Thankfully the weather has been beautiful, so my morale has been boosted by that.

  2. Clay - You're almost there! Keep up the good work! We are praying for you and forever grateful for all that you've done for Yellowstone! I wish we could all be there to cheer you over the finish line! Best, Kristy Liedtke
